Backyard Burning Season has opened. As always, you will need to check DAILY with LRAPA ( 541-726-3976 or http://www.lrapa.org/177/Backyard-Burning-Program ) to ensure that air quality allows for burning.
The fall outdoor burning season will open on Saturday, Oct. 14 for many Lane County residents. The season, originally set to start Oct. 1, was delayed until Oct. 7 and pushed back further due to continued fire danger. Due to calendar conflicts the October meeting has been moved to 9:30 am on Friday, October 13th. The meeting will be held at the Training Center, 42870 McKenzie Highway, 97489.
Fire danger is back down to HIGH, however, even with the rains, it is still very dry - Please be cautious!

The McKenzie Fire & Rescue Board of Director's has moved the monthly Board meetings to the fourth (4th) Thursday of each month. The meetings will be held at 12:00 p.m. and will still be held at the Training Center in Leaburg.
