Maintenance Division
The goals of the Maintenance Division are to provide building, grounds and apparatus maintenance services for the fire stations whereby the fire department is provided functional, attractive, and safe facilities, and planning of adequate facilities to meet long term needs as well as improving present facilities and equipment to achieve greater efficiency and safer operation.
In addition to the ongoing upkeep of the department's buildings and grounds, our scheduled maintenance program includes: testing all equipment and systems, repair and replace components where required, and record all work performed.
The department's Safety Committee is comprised of the Maintenance Officer and one representative from each of the department's five stations. Committee members meet monthly to review any accidents, injuries, safety/hazard publications, and department member suggestions. The committee meets at each station four times annually to inspect the station, apparatus and members' gear.
