District

The McKenzie Fire & Rescue Fire District protects 45 miles of Oregon's McKenzie River between Springfield and Blue River.  The district is rural with a population of approximately 8,000 citizens growing to 10,000 -12,000 during the summer months.  The main road through the district is Oregon State Highway 126 (McKenzie Highway) which is a key  artery between the Willamette Valley and Eastern/Central Oregon. 
McKenzie Fire & Rescue provides the following basic services along with response to more specialized and technical emergencies:  Firefighting, Hazardous Material Response, Emergency Medical Service, Vehicle Rescue (Extrication), Search & Rescue, and Water Rescue.
